This wasn't one of my favorite songs on the album before this. I didn't dislike it, but it wasn't at the top of my list. Now, this video really has bumped it up to one of my favorites. The cliffhanger, though!

John is, indeed, shredding. He wrote this song as well as many Queen iconic bass lines. Queen was a sum of their parts. Freddie & Brian were more prolific songwriters but Roger & John also wrote several hits and their styles were key to Queen’s uniqueness.

It's not Freddie music, they're a group of four individual people who all write, this was a number one single written by the guy called John Deacon on the Bass, not everything was written by the lead singer he's definitely not the leader of the group that's quotation is from Freddie in quite a few interviews

Such a crazy cliffhanger. you can see how much time and effort went into this video. I like the parallels to jumpsuit at the end with Nico touching his neck and the way tyler opens his eyes and looks at nico shows how much stronger he is, doesn't look like he is going to give in as easily as he used to. i don't think clancy will totally defeat Nico cos we never fully get rid of our fears but they've been teasing that this isn't the end so i think they might release another song or video at the end of tour to wrap things up more and show him fighting back more against Nico or somehow learning to coexist with him.

I enjoyed your reaction, though you were a lot calmer than I was. lol. I actually checked to see if my laptop shut off on me when it went black. lol. I do think there is more. I saw an interview where Tyler talked about all good things must come to an end. He said it was time to wrap up this lore. Then on the release of the song without the video, he said to listen and ask yourself, does it sound like the end? So, I definitely think there is one more piece, some way, somehow. I think, at this point, I am just going to enjoy how epic this video is, the impact it has had all over the world, and how much fun we are all having.

I think Tyler opened his brown eyes, not under Nicos control. Josh will run in and help to destroy Nico. Then, weeks later, the boys will be walking to their home, and a vulture will be watching them with yellow eyes. The End. We have to get at least one more song!

Voldsøy is the island Tyler washed up on in The Outside, where he met Ned and got the seizing power. Between Overcompensate and Navigating, he crossed the Paladin Strait and made it back to Trench. In this video, Tyler and the banditos make their way through Trench and back to Dema where the bishops live. Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction and I agree that something else is still coming. I don't think this was necessarily a bad ending, but there have been too many hints toward something else, so I don't think it's quite over yet.

I absolutely love that Tyler wasn't sure he wanted it to be on the album yet Josh convinced him to keep it, which Josh was spot-on bc it's def 1 of the best from "Clancy" & goes to show us that Josh actually is the positive, optimistic torch bearer, but it also absolutely completes the video, Josh's face being what was on the red paper, allegedly being sketched out on the snow via Tyler's dancing ("no not me, it's for a friend", plus Tyler is wearing the "Josh's Best Friend" hoodie in the video). It's just a truly solid piece of work. I'm still convinced though that the bg singing of the word "Denial" @ the end is a slight nod to Radiohead's "House of Cards", as Thom Yorke sings "Denial, Denial" in a practically the same tone & in a bg fade.

EPIC SONG! Written by Queen & David Bowie, one of the most recognizable bass lines written by bassist John Deacon! It’s a shame that Freddie & Bowie never performed it live together but Bowie did sing it live with the 3 remaining members of Queen at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert 1992 featuring Annie Lennox (Eurythmics).

This performance was Wembley Stadium 1986, it was meant to be the end of Queens Magic Tour where the band previously had played 26 shows across Western Europe, there were two concerts in 1986 at Wembley Stadium the Friday and then Saturday night, 72,000 crowd on each night,as both nights were a sellout Queen added an extra show at Knebworth Park which was to be Freddie’s very last live performance ever, but he carried on making music in the studio until he was to ill to sing anymore, the crowd at Knebworth was estimated to be 140,000 people, I actually attended the two nights at Wembley Stadium and was privileged to see Freddie’s very last live performance at Knebworth,the song Under Pressure really involved crowd interaction,Queen and the Bass guitarist John Deacon were not impressed with Vanilla Ice stealing there rift from the song Under Pressure, Queen were process of suing, but Vanilla Ice settled out of court for the sum of 4 million dollars which in today’s value would be around 11 million dollars,Queen the kings of arena live performances they were all phenomenal musicians and everyone in the band have written No1 hits,great reaction thanks 🙏

Freddie did this from way back, almost the beginning of the band, and I heard it gave Brian and John and Roger time to re-tune their instruments, as it was needed because of the temperatures outside. But Freddie also just loved interacting with the fans, and I believe this was in 1986. Somebody to Love was in 1981. I hope to see more!!! This "old" Wembley was demolished and they built a new one virtually next door about 20 years ago I think. I am sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong. I went to the old Wembley a few times but never for a music concert. Give me a sweaty pub every time!

This performance is from the Wembley Stadium concert in London in 1986. This was old Wembley Stadium which held 72,000. Freddie first improvised his call and response with the crowd at a Queen concert in Montreal in 1978,

To answer your question: Yeah, Freddie had been doing some kind of interactive improv with the audiences for a number of years (not sure when it started; he had always been doing things like encouraging the audience to sing part of a song’s lyrics INSTEAD of him singing, things like that). Since it’s improv, every time was spontaneous and different… This is just the most well-known one, aside from the famous call-and-repeat at 1985’s Live Aid… The Live Aid one has been called “The note heard round the world!” THIS improv from this Wembley show, is STILL used, though: There are events where they “bring Freddie onstage” via a GINORMOUS video screen, and they use part of THIS improv bit to have the audience interact with… Most notable probably was the 2012 Olympics!

Excellent song. This was a collaboration between Queen and David Bowie and was a duet. For this performance, Freddie sings Bowie's part and Roger sings Freddie's part. The crowd was sold out which is 72,000 people. This is old Wembley Stadium, it has been torn down and a new one built in its place. It is big, it is a soccer stadium.

YESSSS, Freddie invented the “Ay-Oh” call-and-response bit. He was a First at many things, including: Freddie was the FIRST professional mainstream musician, to do a collaboration with someone from another music genre (like OPERA) and make an album together, when he and Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé made the operatic album “Barcelona”.
